the bishkek adventure

although "our story" as a couple originated in 2006... the bishkek adventure officially began in july of 2008 when jennifer and i accepted teaching positions at an international school in bishkek, kyrygzstan. we started this blog with the hope that it would be an entertaining and accurate catalog of our years living abroad. although we are back in the states now after two years in central asia and our life is not nearly as exotic or exciting... we are keeping the blog going writing for our friends, families and for our first born child, olivia (olive) annmarie conover, who blessed us with her arrival on monday, august 24 at 2:15pm.

24 weeks and two days

only 110 days to go! and we decide that our new favorite name (keep in mind it could change tomorrow) is olivia. we can all her olive. ollie. liv. lib. libby.

jen's belly button... always so secretive and off limits for me and rest of the world has blossomed into a full fledged outie! you push it and it withdraws back into the womb... moving just like a sea anemone.

i put my head on jen's stomach before we took pictures and was promptly punched in the head by my unborn daughter. she is already prone to violent outbursts... just like her mother! jen is peering over my shoulder (draped on my shoulder is a more appropriate description) as i type this and she just let me know that "there is more where that came from". sigh... not sure what i was thinking want to add a second jen to the family!
