spring keeps rearing it's lovely head during the week (and for the past three weeks) with sunny and warm weather (although i am the only one wearing flip flops around town) but as soon as the weekend rolls around - it starts dumping snow (and has for the past three weekends). not sure if this is mother nature's way of keeping spring fever in check - but the snow (as lovely as it is) is starting to get a bit old. i have even made a little planter to hang outside our bedroom window. the cold is killing the plants (which have been inside all year) but i refuse to give in to the late winter. at this point we might be ready to bypass spring completely and move right into summer.
for the record though... boone loves it.
the bishkek adventure
although "our story" as a couple originated in 2006... the bishkek adventure officially began in july of 2008 when jennifer and i accepted teaching positions at an international school in bishkek, kyrygzstan. we started this blog with the hope that it would be an entertaining and accurate catalog of our years living abroad. although we are back in the states now after two years in central asia and our life is not nearly as exotic or exciting... we are keeping the blog going writing for our friends, families and for our first born child, olivia (olive) annmarie conover, who blessed us with her arrival on monday, august 24 at 2:15pm.
The snow is really pretty on the circular fencing. Yes, I think everyone is ready for spring. We have actually had several beautiful days in a row. Rain is on the way for Friday though. Is your planter the one with the two plants in the photo. Carpenter now, huh? My how fatherhood is changing you.
