we have a short week of school - only monday through wednesday with kids as the school has parent/teacher conferences scheduled for thursday and friday.
so while jenny and i are both excited about the short week - i think i am less enthused about spending two days talking to parents about how great their kids are when in reality i want to run over most of them with marshrukas!
the bishkek adventure
although "our story" as a couple originated in 2006... the bishkek adventure officially began in july of 2008 when jennifer and i accepted teaching positions at an international school in bishkek, kyrygzstan. we started this blog with the hope that it would be an entertaining and accurate catalog of our years living abroad. although we are back in the states now after two years in central asia and our life is not nearly as exotic or exciting... we are keeping the blog going writing for our friends, families and for our first born child, olivia (olive) annmarie conover, who blessed us with her arrival on monday, august 24 at 2:15pm.
Is that really how teachers feel at parent teacher conferences?!?!? Oh man! I thought they couldnt wait to tell me how wonderful my Colton is, and how delighted they are to see him everyday of the week ;-) ! Good news is that Colton is on the Accelerated Readers list now.... yea!!!! Of course I already new this, but he finally proved it at school. He is a big fan of "Diary of a Kid".... he has breezed through almost all of them this week! He may not be a math wiz.... but he is my great reader! Buddy's Parents have given him all the Harry Potter books.... he said he may get to all of those next week....ha! Love you guys! Give Olivia a hug & kiss!
ReplyDeleteBy the way.... GREAT picture of you, Boone, & Olivia!
