the first half of the school year is over. i think you would be hard pressed to find a kid who is more excited than me that we don't have school for the next three weeks. for the record - teaching ended for me not today but on monday as i proceeded to show "it's a wonderful life", "gremlins", "miracle on 34th street", and "doctor horrible's sing-along blog" in class all week to my kids.
love the holidays!
the bishkek adventure
although "our story" as a couple originated in 2006... the bishkek adventure officially began in july of 2008 when jennifer and i accepted teaching positions at an international school in bishkek, kyrygzstan. we started this blog with the hope that it would be an entertaining and accurate catalog of our years living abroad. although we are back in the states now after two years in central asia and our life is not nearly as exotic or exciting... we are keeping the blog going writing for our friends, families and for our first born child, olivia (olive) annmarie conover, who blessed us with her arrival on monday, august 24 at 2:15pm.
I am sure the curriculum called for those American tidbits and the kids are probably pleased that you are just a big kid too.
ReplyDeleteGuess you guys are ready to hit the road too. Please be careful and keep Olivia warm. Have fun! Take lots of pictures.
