Our Little Malinki Tikva
The Russian language is extremely difficult to learn without constant practice, we think. We are pretty cushioned by a large English speaking community so what Russian we know is often spliced with English words. What would I call that? Russ-lish? Eng-ussian?Having Nina around has helped me learn some useful terminology...
She went cupatza popa. (she went poop butt)
Olivia wants to hochet spyet. (olivia wants to, wants to sleep)
I'm going to coujet. (i'm going to feed her)
Put those together and you get a fun combination of baby talk.
Of course, Nina only understands the Russian words that I say but we get by. Charades helps too.
