this past week when by in a blur. i woke up monday morning feeling uninspired about having to go to work (a show of hands to everyone who feels the same way each monday) and the next thing i know it is friday afternoon and i am racing home at 301pm.
i think a big reason why the days are going by so fast is because i am so busy of late. i have been trying to get up early (600am) to work on my masters classes. i get home from work between 300pm and 400pm and play with olive (maybe sometimes i sneak a nap in there). help jen with dinner. do some boone care (going for a walk or to the park). work on my classes some more. and after jennifer gets olive down to bed we try to spend an hour or so hanging out talking/watching a move/etc. next think i know it is pushing midnight.
as exciting as i am that work days are flying by... these times are too important right now. olive is growing so fast already (ok... i know she is only a couple of months old... but the growth is noticeable) and i want to savor every moment with her and jen.
over all we had a pretty mellow week. fall is over. the leaves are almost gone from the trees and you can just feel the snow building in the mountains and getting ready to bear down on the city. we are looking forward to a winter of cuddling and soup making.
the bishkek adventure
although "our story" as a couple originated in 2006... the bishkek adventure officially began in july of 2008 when jennifer and i accepted teaching positions at an international school in bishkek, kyrygzstan. we started this blog with the hope that it would be an entertaining and accurate catalog of our years living abroad. although we are back in the states now after two years in central asia and our life is not nearly as exotic or exciting... we are keeping the blog going writing for our friends, families and for our first born child, olivia (olive) annmarie conover, who blessed us with her arrival on monday, august 24 at 2:15pm.
