jen and i just learned that my dad (who lives back home in houston) has been diagnosed with lung cancer. we won't know the full extent of everything until he goes through another set of tests. needless to say, this has been very sudden and hard news... but we are hoping and praying for the best.
next time you talk to your god/goddess please offer up a prayer for my dad and stepmom.
the bishkek adventure
although "our story" as a couple originated in 2006... the bishkek adventure officially began in july of 2008 when jennifer and i accepted teaching positions at an international school in bishkek, kyrygzstan. we started this blog with the hope that it would be an entertaining and accurate catalog of our years living abroad. although we are back in the states now after two years in central asia and our life is not nearly as exotic or exciting... we are keeping the blog going writing for our friends, families and for our first born child, olivia (olive) annmarie conover, who blessed us with her arrival on monday, august 24 at 2:15pm.
so sorry to hear that, definately in my thoughts & prayers...my uncle was diagnosed with the same thing on monday :( take care you guys!
ReplyDeleteWhat a difficult thing to hear at such an otherwise exciting and happy time. I will pray to the gods and goddesses for him!
