yesterday we had an "internet blind date" with a german couple living in bishkek that we meet online through blogging. we met them at a really nice outside cafe in the city centre (at least we think it is the city centre... still trying to find our way around!).
it was fun and they were really nice (we have to say that as the are sure to read the blog and because in their blog they said we were nice). we are thinking we might hang out with them again but when we invited them to game night... they gave us the "weird americans" look.
they were also kind enough to take us to beta store to get a cell phone (505 408 992). so it is almost like we are locals now.
Hej there! Thanks again for the fun lunch with you. And if our reaction to "games night" wasn't enthusiastic enough, it's because we were simply surprised that you are here for only 2 days and already know enough people for hosting a "games night". You're really out there! ;) Just give us a call...
ReplyDeleteLocquy doesn't know my son. He never meets a stranger and will probably be playing Nickels with the locals by now. Nice looking couple....also good of them to meet with you both and I'm sure you all will become good friends. I'm enjoying the blog and just saw the first two wedding photos today. I also see you changed the adventure photo.
