the bishkek adventure


although "our story" as a couple originated in 2006... the bishkek adventure officially began in july of 2008 when jennifer and i accepted teaching positions at an international school in bishkek, kyrygzstan. we started this blog with the hope that it would be an entertaining and accurate catalog of our years living abroad. although we are back in the states now after two years in central asia and our life is not nearly as exotic or exciting... we are keeping the blog going writing for our friends, families and for our first born child, olivia (olive) annmarie conover, who blessed us with her arrival on monday, august 24 at 2:15pm.

austin weekend

we headed to austin on saturday to go to the wedding of my friend holly and brandon. holly has been a friend for a long time and one of my best travel buddies... we have gone on trips together to baja, the pacific northwest, and iowa (ragbrai).

jen and i spent some time before the wedding doing the things that make austin great... eating tacos... swimming with our friend micheal in town lake (see the photos of jen doing her whale impersonation)... and getting ice cream for jenny (we have to get ice cream everywhere we go now a days!).

the wedding was held at a sculpture garden and was lovely. it gave jen a chance to get back into full fledged wedding photographer mode.
