the bishkek adventure

although "our story" as a couple originated in 2006... the bishkek adventure officially began in july of 2008 when jennifer and i accepted teaching positions at an international school in bishkek, kyrygzstan. we started this blog with the hope that it would be an entertaining and accurate catalog of our years living abroad. although we are back in the states now after two years in central asia and our life is not nearly as exotic or exciting... we are keeping the blog going writing for our friends, families and for our first born child, olivia (olive) annmarie conover, who blessed us with her arrival on monday, august 24 at 2:15pm.

  2. David,

your family just keeps getting stuff thrown at them! Natural disasters, internal disasters...i am sorry they are having to field so much. It does seem as though they are likely to tough it out and come out on top. Hope all will be well...

  3. Hey Bub - Mom, Buddy, Colton & I are in Clear Lake... a little too close to Armond Bayou..... The house we are building is in Friendswood (guess some confusion). We just drove around the last once again & sorry to say Tops-N-Towers is not in a good location. Amazing the tidal surge already. Galveston I beleive is going to be just gone.... too bad some are stuck on the island as of now. Winds are picking up a little now... We will see how it goes this evening. Think around 9 we will have hurricane force winds and about 3 am the storm will hit! Dad & Gloria still in Deer Park.... just north of us! Keep your fingers crossed for us!
    Love you guys!
    Deana
